2021 Summer Experience
COOKING EXPERIENCE
Fun With Baking BasicsClass ID: 00067183 With guidance of Chef Scott Marsh workshop attendees will learn the fundamental techniques of baking. Students will also learn how to make cookies, cakes, frostings, pastry creams, and breads. This will also be the perfect forum for students to learn how to work in groups and learn time management.

MUSIC EXPERIENCE
Beat MakingClass ID: 00067181 Reason & Logic Pro X are integrated music production software with massive collections of sounds and digital instruments included. In this class, you will learn how to make and produce songs and beats using synthesizers, samplers, and drum machines. This is a hands-on class that will show you the basic fundamentals of creating your own music. Basic piano chords and studio etiquette will also be emphasized.

MEDIA EXPERIENCE
Video for Social MediaClass ID: 00067184 Have you always wanted to be behind the camera? Do you have a story to tell or a music video you want to make? This program will introduce participants to video equipment and techniques that will support producing video projects. You will complete a series of exercises and individual projects that will give you a foundation for personal expression through digital media. Upon completion, participants will be able to demonstrate a variety of production skills and techniques including: camera basics, lighting skills, sound recording, storyboarding and editing.

2021 Adult Experience
GARDENING EXPERIENCE
Grandma's HandsClass ID: 00042402 This Summer course will help individuals learn how to interface with existing land/gardens. Working as a team, you will have gain the ability to work the land/gardens under supervised coaching, along with written guidelines. This course will provide hands on experience opportunities to gain skills needed for an entry level gardener/landscaper profession. This course will provide information, educational training on-site instructions; instructions on how to survey the soil, landscape, garden, weeding, planting, replanting, replacing, clip trees/shrubs/bushes whatever is applicable. You will be advised on how to manage, maintain and process foods for your well being towards a healthy lifestyle.

COOKING EXPERIENCE
Cooking For Health AcademyClass ID: 00070221 This class will be taught online via Zoom. Upon registration login information for the Zoom classes will be emailed to you at least 3 days prior to the first class. You will also be required to pick up supplies for each class on Mondays and Wednesdays prior to each class. This is the perfect class to learn basic cooking skills. You will also learn what you need to know to successfully get a Food Handler’s Certificate. Each class covers: nutrition education, basic culinary skills, food safety, and seasonal produce tips. After attending of all classes participants will receive a certificate of completion. There will be an additional last class from 3pm to 7pm for those that want to take the online training and exam to earn a Food Handler’s Certificate. The date will be scheduled later. This class is sponsored by the Alameda County Nutrition Services.
