What's In A Name?

Grandma's Hands PhotoFor a variety of reasons, we are also in the process of changing the name of the center as part of our remodel. Through a series of community meetings, the community decided to change the name from Digital Arts and Culinary Academy (DACA) to East Oakland Arts Center (EOAC). The name change was recently approved by the Parks & Recreation Advisory Commission and is now waiting to be vetted by the City Council. The new name will better reflect East Oakland and its amazing community.
